Barbara Rossmiller has served as Chief of Party for SAVE since 2006. A senior program manager with significant field-based technical expertise in economic growth, community development, finance, enterprise development, governance, and project monitoring and evaluation. She brings over 18 years of experience working in developing countries and emerging markets, primarily with USAID projects. MBA, Business Administration, Duke University. Languages: Spanish (intermediate).

Head of SAVE’s environment and natural resources management team since the start of the project. She is an environmental engineer with experience on technical design and research projects, feasibility studies and institutional capacity building activities. She has experience in environmental management issues related to water and wastewater, solid waste, EIA procedures and prevention of pollution by determining major gaps to implementing environmentally sound principles at both public and private agencies. She is the co-founder and a current board member of the Chamber of Environmental Engineers. She is also a steering committee member of the Cyprus Environmental Stakeholder Forum. Dr. MÜGE ŞEVKETOĞLU, Cultural Heritage Program Manager (2006 – 2011)
Head of SAVE’s cultural heritage team since the start of the project. She is one of the leading Cypriot experts on Cyprus’ cultural heritage and archaeology with 20 years of relevant work experience. Prior to joining SAVE, she was one of the founding members and the Chair of the Department of Archaeology and Art History at Eastern Mediterranean University. She directed many field works; surveys; a significant Stone Age rescue excavation; as well as cultural heritage management, protection and reconstruction projects for sustainable tourism. Dr. Şevketoğlu has also provided consultancy services for the local authorities and international organizations. She has four internationally published books, 3 of which are translations. Her PhD in Archaeology is from Edinburgh University, Scotland and she received her postgraduate and undergraduate degrees from Bradford and Bournemouth Universities, respectively, in England. Languages: Turkish (native), English (fluent), French (intermediate) and Greek (intermediate).

Glen Anderson, Senior Manager, has extensive professional expertise in environmental policy, strategic planning, and institutional strengthening in developing and transitional countries. Dr. Anderson has worked in senior consulting positions for USAID, the World Bank, and OECD-funded programs and is an IRG senior policy advisor under the EPIQ II contract. Recently, he worked in Romania on USAID projects dedicated to conducting analyses of the financial and environmental costs of natural disasters, reducing agricultural pollution, and strengthening environmental management. PhD, Agricultural Economics, University of Wisconsin at Madison.
William Remsen is an experienced Conservation Architect with over 30 years of experience preserving and presenting historic buildings, landscapes, and archaeological sites, both in the United States and in countries including Turkey, Egypt, Iran, and Pakistan. Currently, in addition to a range of consultancy work, he is Chief Preservation Architect to the Preservation Society of Newport County (PSNC), Newport, RI, where he provides advice, architectural expertise and technical support to all departments of the PSNC to preserve their collection of cultural heritage and to promote heritage tourism. Prior to that, he served as Technical Director on the USAID-funded Egyptian Antiquities Project (EAP). He also developed and managed the Antiquities Development Project (ADP) in Egypt, an ecological tourism component of the Gore-Mubarak Peace initiative. As Director of Architectural Preservation at the archaeological site of Gordion, Turkey, and as Chief Architect on additional archaeological sites in Turkey, Iran and Pakistan, Mr. Remsen’s brings a rare perspective of working on environmentally and culturally sensitive areas such as the Red Sea coast, the Central Sinai desert, the Jewish synagogues, the Coptic churches in Egypt, and archaeological sites in the Kurdish areas near the Syrian border in Turkey. He holds an MA degree in Architecture from Harvard University.
